As we are winding down 2022, many of us are reflecting on all the different life experiences that took place this year. There were births and deaths, engagements/marriages and separations/divorces. There were job promotions and job losses. There were business start-ups and closures. There were happy times and there were sad times. There were wins and there were losses. I can go on and on, but one thing I know for sure, there is a time and a season for everything. I know that even with all the ups and downs that I faced this year, I am so grateful to still be here!

Because I am still here, I have the opportunity to continue on this journey called LIFE! I have the opportunity to make things right for my life! I have the opportunity to choose better! I have the opportunity to live my life on purpose according to God’s will and perfect plans for my life. I have the power of “Free Will” (choice) and that’s one of the greatest gifts that God has given us!

I can honestly admit that this year, I didn’t follow my gut instinct on everything. I know that my gut doesn’t lie nor does it lead me wrong (it’s a God thing). I moved on ego, other’s opinions, idealistic opportunities, and emotions. As my mom would say, “When you know better, you do better”.

With that, my reflection isn’t one of pity or the blues, it’s one of gratitude as I thank God for saving me from myself and giving me another opportunity, because I’m still here, to get it right for me! 2022 taught me a lot (pruning, planting, and preparing) and 2023 is my year for bigger and better, walking truly in my purpose and destiny! What you thought broke you only built you, baby for the long haul! My foundation has been and always will be in God! If it ain’t grounded in that foundation, I don’t want it! I know that God has BIG in store for me in 2023 and God has the same for you!
