“What is a Life Coach and Why a Life Coach May be What You Need”
Have you being trying to figure out exactly what a life coach and why so much talk about them over the past few years? Well, there are a few names that you are familiar with but you probably didn’t know that they were life coaches. Does these names ring a bell? Esther Hicks (Abraham Hicks) and Bob Doyle both Law of Attraction (manifestation coaches), Deepak Chopra (spiritual coach that appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show several times), Eckhart Tolle (present moment coach), and Iyanla Vanzant (yes, “Fix My Life” queen). This is just a few but there are so many more that specialize in specific areas of coaching.
Life coaches are like therapist or counselors but we’re a little different. We are advisors who support personal growth, behavior modification, and goal-setting. Based on the premise that most people can achieve their goals if properly guided, a life coach act as a mentor, assisting the client in the process of taking the life-improving actions necessary to take control of the future. We help you develop strategies and plans to reach your targeted-goals.
Some of the areas may include:
Work-life balance
Finances
Relationships and Family
Health and fitness
Spirituality
Work performance
Career goals/change
Why might you need a life coach?
Feeling stuck?
Trying to figure out your purpose in life?
You are not sure how to achieve your goals?
Does life seem to be getting the best of you and you’re uncertain about things?
Are your relationships going through some rough patches?
Do you need more “me time” because work and life just seems to be all you do?
Does it feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders?

Although I am a life coach, I also have a life coach and mentors in my life. This is how I continue to grow as a person, mother, and in my businesses. I need people in my life to be my accountability partners, cheerleaders, constructive critics, and to give me guidance as well. “No man is an island” isn’t just a cliché. We all need someone that we can trust to help us along the way.
