“Gratitude is an Attitude”
Happy Thanksgiving Day! I hope that you are taking time to enjoy your family and friends on today or just taking time to embrace life itself.
Although it’s been a norm, for most, to spend the holidays with family and friends and share memories over food, games, good conversation, and more, this is also a day that many of us reflect on the loss of our loved ones that are no longer here and grieve in our own ways. I say that to say, love on your family, tell someone that you love them, apologize to those that you know that you wronged and forgive those that have wronged you, and just be in the moment. Sometimes we can miss these very precious moments by thinking about yesterday and trying to figure out tomorrow. Just “Be” today and let whatever happens happen.
In the attitude of gratitude, as you gather around your dinner tables or hang outside and share laughs, ask each person to say at least 3 things that they are grateful for today! My girls, mother, and I did that first thing this morning and it really set the tone for today. Each and every day, take the time to express gratitude because it is an attitude that can be spread in every area of our lives and affect everything and everyone around us!
